Norwegian School of Sport Sciences: Improve performances in alpine skiing thanks to Insiders’ sensors.

Insiders was introduced to the NIH (Norwegian School of Sports Science) through a research collaboration with the EPFL.

NIH is a University that is specialized on sport science and is world renowned within several sport science disciplines. The NIH uses high accuracy tracking solutions as a reference in their laboratory to validate and implement consumer grade tracking solutions such as the INTENSE sensor (called before, AdMosLive) in various winter and summer sports projects. On our side, we have used the knowledge and expertise of the NIH to conduct validation studies of our products.

«  We have chosen the INTENSE receivers to log training in alpine ski racing. The units are used on a daily basis in the Norwegian Alpine Ski Team to log and map out the training characteristics of alpine skiing, similar as this is done in team sports, and performance. Prior to the implementation of the units we have conducted a validation study to investigate the accuracy of the Intense sensor for use in alpine ski racing. »

How the Association Suisse de Football (ASF) uses Inspirit to better understand individual peformances

bastien thomas using inspirit sensor

The ASF (Association Suisse de Football) was one of the first organization to equip some of its teams with the INSPIRIT (previously called FiledWiz). Over the years, they have gone from being an early customer to a true partner, playing a key role in the development of our products.

We have also collaborated on the integration of the ITerpro platform which integrates and centralizes the data transmitted by INSPIRIT, and allows physical trainers from ASF to read training data more quickly and easily. Today, more than 2000 sessions have been recorded by the sensors since the beginning of the collaboration thanks to the 8 teams benefiting from our technology, including the women’s national team and all the junior teams. The data collected has also been used by the Federal Office of Sport to conduct research projects (Power to win).

« The INSPIRIT GPS system (formerly FieldWiz) is an important tool for the physical trainers of the Swiss Football Association’s junior national teams. It allows them to quickly obtain information about the movements of the players during training sessions and matches. This allows a better understanding of the individual efforts made and to adapt the training sessions accordingly. This information is also used to determine the individual load level and can help prevent injuries. The tool also allows us to follow the collective data of the teams in order to better understand the dynamics and to follow the evolutions.»

PLF TeamSports: the use of live GPS tracking solutions to make quick strategic decisions in team sports

The PLF TeamSport’s platform was born out of a desire to better interpret the performance data of football players and other team sports. Since then, they offer the INSPIRIT (FieldWiz) and the INTENSE sensors (AdmosLive) to their clients.

The latter and its high-precision and live technology allowed them to develop their own indicators and so to be able to make instantaneous decisions just by visualizing the data. Today, PLF TeamSport solutions are used by ESTAC, Clermont Foot, Chamois Niortais FC, FC Sion, and many others.

« PLFts considers Insiders as a reliable company and share commun values and idea about Sport Performance. Today, our journey allows us to present a new brand that offers a unique solution to track and analyze sport performance. Only one app to save time and make sense of performance data. Insiders has created the only one antennaless GPS tracker. This simple fact is revolutionary in sports science. This is a crucial step forward for people on the field, so that they can use reliable technology anywhere in the world.»

Interview: Lionel Yersin and Julien Moix talk about Insiders.

Interview: Lionel Yersin and Julien Moix explain us what is Insiders.

Lionel Yersin and Julien Moix founded ASI (Advanced Sport Instruments) in 2012 from a passion of sports and technology. In 2018, their product FieldWiz became the first wearable to be certified by FIFA for official matches. Last year there were 10 users of ASI sensors among the medal winners of the Swiss Olympic team. Their goal has always been to improve their products again and again in order to better support the teams and athletes in their success. Today, with Insiders, they want to become the reference performance sparring-partner to push sport participation and engagement in this fast-transforming world

For you, what is Insiders all about?

With Insiders, we wanted a brand that better illustrated our vision of actionable tracking data in sports and beyond (eHealth, eSafety…).

We like to summarize that Insiders brings you information that you and others don’t have, to give you a competitive advantage. It also reflects our evolution towards mixed reality or new projects to bridge the gap between virtual and reality.

What do you want to achieve with Insiders?

We are ambitious and we will push Insiders as far as we can. The aim is that Insiders becomes the reference performance sparring-partner delivering actionable data to push sport participation and engagement in a fast-transforming world.

Insiders’ brand identity had to live up to the reputation of our clients, and so this new brand is also a statement for us to become not only the best solution, but a renowned brand to support our mission.

What are the next big steps?

This year will mark the entry in major endurance sport events as well as the realization of the convergence of performance data and fan-engagement with amazing projects in the pipeline. We are also working hard to bring elite solutions to the mass with innovative business model.

We can also name the launch of initiatives with virtual reality. We see the close future with bridges between the real world and the metaverse. We believe we are well positioned for this shift.

We are fortunate that in what we do, sky is the limit. On the opposite, we don’t have endless resources, so we have to go step-by-step.

What can we expect from the 2023 year?

In addition to a new brand and important partnership announcements, be prepared to hear from us.
In the coming months we will be delivering our solutions to customers such as INEOS-Grenadier to improve aerodynamic performances, or Super League Triathlon (SLT) and Velon to develop fan-engagement solutions with live data for the second screen and broadcaster.

We’ve been watching the stages of professional races on TV for years now and to see the data we’ve provided being broadcast would be a great testament to our achievements so far.

Stay tuned, we are only at the beginning of an amazing journey.
