The Analyze.FieldWiz platform is acquired by ACPA Performance and becomes NabuTrack

développement analyze.FieldWiz

Following Insiders’ change of strategy and its desire to focus more on B2B by dealing directly with specialist platforms, the 10-years old visualization platform Analyze.FieldWiz had ceased to evolve in recent years.

In order to better meet our users’ expectations in terms of sports performance analysis, we have decided to entrust the development and management of Analyze.FieldWiz to ACPA Performance, a recognised specialist in innovative solutions for sports performance.

Founded in 2018, ACPA Performance’s mission is to democratize field tools that were once reserved for elite users, by making them accessible, practical, and transferable to all performance stakeholders: physical trainers, coaches, clubs, federations, and retailers.

Thanks to this development:

  • Users will benefit from a secure, stable and sustainable platform
  • Innovative new features based on their feedback
  • They will have access to certified training courses and practical tutorials
  • Enhanced, personalised support

Julien Moix, CEO of Insiders:

This is an important milestone for us. I still remember drawing the first models of the platform 10 years ago… We can be proud of the platform we have developed, which is still used by several hundreds of teams in 40+ countries. Today, our global strategy is forcing us to part ways with it, and we’re delighted that this is in the hands of ACPA Performance, a company specialising in sport science. This will enable existing users to benefit from their expertise and continue to develop their teams.

The Analyze.FieldWiz platform will be seamlessly transferred and ACPA Performance will take over with the NabuTrack platform, in order to offer the best possible service to users and keep developing the platform, always based on the needs of users and the field.

How Ubiko uses Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to maximize players performance

Ubiko uses Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to maximize players performance

What is Ubiko?

Ubiko is a Spanish sports data analysis company. The aim is to maximize player performance and reduce risk of injury through physical, technical and tactical recommandations using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.

Ubiko offers a web platform and mobile app to provide players and technical staff with valuable information in a simple way. We transform the data collected by GPS Insiders devices useful information, becoming a virtual analyst within the team staff.

What are the advantages of Insiders’ products?

The Insiders API simplifies device integration with the Ubiko platform, and the devices provide reliable data facilitating all the information.
With Insiders, Ubiko has chosen the white label model to build a strong brand in the market and simplify the process and communications with end customers.

We know you’ve developed an app for the INTENSE device. Can you tell us about it and why?

Real-time information is a value-added service that’s easy to use thanks to the Ubiko application. It simplifies the use of the technology: you simply switch on the device and start using it. The data provided by INTENSE with no need to additional infrastructure makes it really easy to use and to get all the valuable information. One of the main reasons for this development is to provide technical staff with the ability to set targets for individual sessions and trigger alarms when they are reached.

UltraSwim 33.3 chooses the Insiders solution to improve the safety management of the event

UltraSwim 33.3 chooses the Insiders solution to improve the safety management of the event

UltraSwim 33.3 is a multi-day open-water adventure swimming race series held in Montenegro. For the 2023 edition, the organizer has chosen Insiders devices to improve safety management during the event, providing live location of all safety boats and swimmers.

Can you tell us more about your use of Insiders trackers?

The Insiders devices concept is quite new and very interesting, especially for swimming events where risk management is quite tricky, on the water it can be very complex.
The tracking system provides real-time data such as the precise location of our safety boats, where our swimmers are, their speed and the distance separating them from the kayaks and safety supports. No other swimming event uses this system at the moment, but I think it will soon become a standard and minimum safety requirement.

Are there any other advantages to using the Insiders solution?

Clearly, safety is a top priority, and we were more than satisfied with this tool dedicated to the organizer. But the live tracking solution offered by Insiders also opens up new perspectives in terms of communication. We were able to share the live tracking with our partners, as well as with the swimmers’ families and friends. Many people are keen to follow the race up close, and are now able to do so from the other side of the world, which is still not very common in open-water swimming.

And what about the logistics on event?

In the UltraSwim 33.3, towfloats are compulsory, so we were able to put the Insiders devices in the towfloats. We actually had live tracking of all of the assets, all of the kayaks, all of the boats, all of the swimmers, for all of the swims. This system proved to be very effective, particularly in terms of data quality.

Vizrt’s Viz Flowics adds new data connector for Insiders API

Real-time data integreated into Rawmotion TV graphics to enhance storytelling of the broadcast

Vizrt is the leader in real-time graphics and live production solutions for content creators.

With a 25-year history of inventing new simplified workflows for storytelling whether it is in the news, sports, broadcast, education, entertainment, live events, digital media, advertising, or anywhere else video lives, Vizrt has helped define and reshape the way video is created and shared with the world.

Billions of people watch stories or video powered by Vizrt everyday including from media companies such as Al Arabiya, Al Jazeera, BBC, CNN, CBS, ESPN, FOX, NBC, NHL, NFL, NRK, Sky Group, The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, New York Giants, Nickelodeon, CBS Radio, ESPN Radio, MTV, USA TODAY, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), NASA, PWC,  and more than 80% of the U.S. Fortune 100.

What would you say about the Insiders API integration process?

“Sensors offer vital information on an athlete’s performance from heartrate to speed – information that is contained in the Insiders API. The new Insiders Data Connector allows sports content creators to add another layer of data that matters to audiences to their Viz Flowics graphics in a fast, simple and efficient way.” Viz Flowics co-founder, Gabriel Baños.

What are the advantages of integrating the Insiders API?

Incorporating a new native integration with the Insiders API is one more step forward in our mission at Viz Flowics to simplify the production of data-driven graphics to enhance storytelling.

Position, timing, distance between athletes, performance, heartrate, acceleration, endurance – all this information adds another layer of interesting, sport relevant information to data-driven storytelling. Sports fans thrive on data, and data from wearables gives them a deeper understanding and insight into the performance levels of elite athletes. This is a whole new level of information access – making for an even more intimate engagement with the sport and the individual athletes.

How do you use the Insiders real-time data in your graphics?

Insiders API is integrated directly into Viz Flowics, available as a native Data Connector in our catalog.

If enabled in the use accounts, shared customers of Viz Flowics and Insiders can use the connector by simply selecting the ‘Insiders Data Connector’ to get access to individual athlete data gathered via their wearables. It’s that simple.

How do you think the integration of real-time data into TV graphics can influence video production in sport?

A recent survey done by Vizrt showed that data-driven graphics is a focal point to attract younger viewers. Polling thousands of content consumers and sports fans in the UK and US, 70% of all respondents agree 3D, AR graphics, and sports analysis tools add to their experience of the game.

The new generation of sports consumers expect augmented reality (AR) graphics, real-time data, and exciting analysis to enhance their immersion in the game, and any broadcaster not considering these elements within their content is already falling behind. Data visualization helps enrich sports analysis and make it easier for viewers to grasp performance, strategies, highlighting patterns and outliers.”

Rawmotion is a leading sports data service and real-time tv graphics provider for live sports productions in all parts of the world. Their premium solutions enhance tv productions for many different sports, turning sports events into the ultimate fan experience and increasing audience reach and engagement. Alexander Dörr, founder and CEO of Rawmotion, tells us more about the use of real-time data to enhance story telling of the broadcast.

As part of its collaboration with Velon, owner of the data and the global system by which it is produced, and the organizer of the Tour of Norway, Insiders worked with Rawmotion, reponsible for the integratation of real-time data and live TV graphics. Rawmotion developed custom middleware and a control application specifically designed to provide TV graphics for road cycling events.

“The modular concept of our solution allows us to integrate easily with different data providers. For Tour of Norway, we integrated data from 3 different partners: including Velon, the performance data provider. “

What has been your experience with Insiders’ devices during the Tour of Norway?

We worked with Velon, which uses Insiders hardware and cloud-based middleware to provide real-time data on athlete performance, and its solution provides a different perspective and interesting context for the viewers at home. It enhances the storytelling in the broadcast and gives us additional angles to work with.

Integration with the Insiders data platform was straight-forward and the latency of live data coming in from the trackers was very low in areas with good mobile coverage. Due to analysis of the mobile coverage on the stages, we knew in advance where to expect good data and were able to plan accordingly.

What are the most important features a tracker should have?

A GPS tracker for live sports production must be light-weight, reasonable form-factor (size) and great connectivity. Even more so, the cloud platform processing the tracker data must be optimised for low-latency applications.

How do you think the behaviors of viewers who consume live sports have changed in recent years, and how will real-time data help support this change?

In the consumer sector over the past ten years, viewers have learned to use various kinds of online live data apps to analyse their own performance and progression and consumers are expecting to get the same experience from watching live sports. The additional data really helps to provide additional context and background information for viewers and fans. There is a strong desire to understand whats happening and get more in-depth information, it creates more exciting experiences and also allows fans to compare themselves with their heroes. »

Insiders launch: here are the 5 information you should remember

Last week, Insiders came to life: a new look but also new ambitions for the company. 150 guests from all over the world gathered at the Olympic Museum to celebrate the past but also the future of Insiders. The event also showed the evolution of the company by presenting new projects and products. For you, we have summarized the 5 most important information to remember:

1.     Advanced Sport Instruments is now Insiders

Insiders was born out of a desire to modernize the brand and address outdoor sports by providing more accurate tracking and performance measurement solutions for football, cycling, triathlon, skiing, biathlon, field hockey, running and more.

« The new Insiders identity is symbolic of our position at the cutting-edge of the sports data experience delivering actionable data to push sport participation and engagement in a fast-transforming world. »

2.   The company is working on new developments, including improvements to some of its sensor features, its own fan engagement platform and projects with virtual reality

The team is currently working on the new Insiders platform. The goal of this platform is to enable second-screen fan engagement applications, broadcast interfaces, VR solutions and much more.

The platform will work with the precise data captured by our sensors and thanks to our algorithms, the aggregated data will be displayed on the platform in near real time as well as in replay.

Another feature we are working on that will mark a big step in the world of sports technology is the ability to have an immersive experience of the athlete’s eyes in real time and at a distance through virtual reality. This will go with the improvement of some features of the sensor to make it more suitable for endurance sports.  Stay tuned…

3.     INEOS-Grenadiers Cycling Team, Super League Triathlon and FIFA will be one of the big projects of Insiders in 2023

This year Insiders will provide equipment for the famous INEOS-Grenadiers cycling team. The team has an unmatched record of Grand Tour success and has now chosen Insiders to help track and measure its rider and system performance.

Other important news includes a partnership with the Super League Triathlon (SLT) to develop second-screen broadcasting and engagement, a project for which Insiders will equip 100% of the Giro d’Italia peloton in 2023.

Finally, for the second time, Insiders will partner with FIFA to provide its technologies to The Innovation Hub in China.

4.     A new CEO onboard!

The event was the perfect opportunity to introduce the newly appointed CEO Julie Royer who is joining Insiders from The IRONMAN Group.
« I’m delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting time, I see my role as an enhancer of the current dynamic and providing a solid governance to support the growth and celebrate the successes. Building on the current solutions, our aim is to develop our very own platform where tracking mixed with enriched data leads to an immersive experience for viewers and fans. Our ambition is to equip 1200 races and 1m athletes by 2027. »

5.     Capital investment: it is still time to be part of the journey

Following our successful round in 2022, (with lead investor MICA Ventures), we are opening up an additional round to accelerate the Insiders success story, convert our current pipeline, deploy the new endurance outdoor solution and bring Insiders VR solutions to market. If you want to be part of the Insiders journey, get in touch!

« At GEORACING, we provide products and services for various outdoor sports events worldwide, each with its unique requirements and specifications. It’s hard to find a GPS tracker that meets all these different needs. However, after testing and comparing several devices over the past few years, we can confidently say that Insiders‘s tracker stands out as one of the best.

We required a tracker that was easy to use, accurate, durable, lightweight, and waterproof, and Insiders’s product ticked all those boxes. Additionally, we appreciated that Insiders was receptive to our feedback, and willing to make changes to improve their products based on our experience.

We’ve been highly satisfied with the quality of Insiders’s products, and we’ve found their team to be professional and easy to work with. We highly recommend Insiders and their GPS trackers to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality tracking technology for their outdoor sports events. »
